About

Central Pelvic Health Physiotherapy – a service offering help for all issues relating to pelvis and pelvic floor.
This service was started by Caroline Bender in 2023. The service aims to offer assessment and management of a wide range of issues relating to pelvis and pelvic floor: bladder, bowel, prolapse, sexual pain, musculoskeletal pain, prostate and pregnancy. In fact any issue that you have in the pelvic area could be reason to seek help.

I migrated to Australia in 1993 from London and took up a Sole Physiotherapy position in Deniliquin, NSW.  It was here, working far away from a major city, that I realised that my undergraduate Physiotherapy training hadn’t prepared me well for managing pelvic health conditions.  So began my informal post-graduate education travelling to Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra to attend courses.  I completed formal training later on in Western Australia at Curtin University.

Fast forward to 2010 and a move back to the Eastern States led me to start up a dedicated Pelvic Health practice on The Mornington Peninsula.  I’m proud that the  service continues today under the great care of my former colleagues.

In 2023, following a post-covid desire for change, my husband and I opted for a “tree-change” moving to the Kyneton region.

Beyond work, with my two sons grown up,  I have time to enjoy the beautiful local countryside, to keep the body fit with swimming, walking and yoga, and to keep the mind fit learning Spanish.

With work, my primary aim , is to offer an assessment of your problem,  discuss management options with you and most importantly,  give you an ability to take control over the issues.

I will make recommendations based on best evidence, but you are always free to ask questions  and do what you feel suits you best.

Importantly, with every visit, you should have a sense of progress being made.
